Both of these teams first games ended in a 1-0 score line, however it resulted in 2 very different outcomes for either team and gave Croatia a lot more hope in terms of qualifying from Group D than it did Czech Republic.
This has now become a must win game for the Czechs, they were so unlucky against Spain in terms of when they conceded the goal but in all honesty, they were dominated from start to finish. Spain spent most of the time camped in the Czech Republic half and at stages enjoyed 76% of the possession so 1-0 definitely flattered the Czechs, however the Croatia game is one that they will certainly feel like they can impose themselves on more and create chances. I also fully expect them to attack more now that this has essentially become a must win game.
Croatia were also involved in a 1-0 match however they managed to be on the winning side of it against Turkey. This game was very different from the Czechs first game and was even for long spells. Only a magical moment from star man Luka Modric could separate the 2 teams and Croatia will need to be a bit more clinical if they're to get anything from this game. They certainly have the players and the quality but can they bring it together when it matters? Only time will tell.
I think this will be a very close game with both teams realising the importance of it. Czech Republic because they need points on the table and Croatia because their next game is against Spain who they will probably expect to lose against.
I was thinking a Croatia win, however I think the way Czech Republic kept Spain out for so long in the previous game and Croatia's lack of cutting edge have played a part in my decision. If one team does win, it will almost certainly be Croatia but I think this will be a score draw, Czech Republic have raised my opinion of them slightly after the last game.Winner £200 Free Bet
As I said before, I don't see this being a high scoring encounter and if one team does win, I can't see it being more than 1-0, it could even be a 0-0 this one! Obviously if the correct score bet comes in, this one will lose but this is a cheeky back up bet to try and earn a bit back if it doesn't quite work out as planned.Bet365 £200 Bonus
I think this will be a score draw but neither team have the quality to make it more than 1-1. Obviously anything can happen in football but based on both of their first games, I can't see either bagging 2 goals. 1-1 is a sound bet but Czech Republic will need more than that to give them a serious chance of progressing from the group. They would then need to beat Turkey and Spain to beat Croatia, and even then goal difference would come into play.Betfair £30 Free Bet
I can't see either team staying ahead for a long time once the first goal goes in, I actually think both goals will be scored in the same half. Croatia do have a better side than Czech Republic but they don't seem to be showing it and they haven't for a while if I'm honest, they always tend to disappoint.ComeOn £25 Free Bet
Mario Mandzukic is a top quality striker that can mix it with the best of them. He was quiet in the first game but he could cause havoc in the Czech defence and has an excellent CV. He can score with his head and both feet, scoring the first goal would not be a shock as far as anybody else is concerned and he is a good bet.Ladbrokes £50 Free Bet
Darijo Srna is a legendary name to the Croatians, Shakhtar Donetsk fans and Football Manager players. He has over 100 caps for his country and has been Croatia's captain for a long time. He is a dependable right back who tends to like attacking a little bit more than defending but most importantly for the sake of this bet, he takes the direct free kicks for club and country. He nearly scored one in the last game against Turkey and is a cracking bet to bag one in this game. Especially as I expect it to be tight, so a free kick could make all of the difference. Srna to score a free kick is definitely worth sticking a few quid on if you're feeling flush.SportingBet £50 Free Bet
